I’ve been working down here for a couple of months and have stayed at this budget-friendly Quality Inn a few times. It’s consistently clean and quiet, and there’s a Waffle House right beside it. The reason I keep stopping here is Holly at the front desk. She’s always around when I arrive, quick-witted, and hilarious. Those ten minutes of joking around with her, giving each other a hard time, make the place stand out. The owner better not give her trouble over this review, because she’s what makes this hotel different. It’s clean, quiet, and affordable, so I’d recommend it anyway. But Holly is worth getting off the interstate for. I choose this stop instead of driving on to the next hotel.

My second room seemed to have a clean bed, and I didn’t get any bug bites, so I gave the place one star for that. But the floor and shower weren’t clean, and the whole place felt filthy after what happened first. I was sent to room 214, which was full of garbage, smelled bad, and had a torn mattress. Mistakes happen, but the man working acted like he didn’t know I was coming and never checked back to see if the replacement room was okay. He offered nothing, not even a bottle of water. Try acting like you’re doing your job. When I tried to check out around 10 at night, a young woman made me pass my key through a strange bulletproof window, as if I were a criminal. The customer service was awful. What a mess. Book somewhere else. Jeepers ☹️

The booking and check-in were simple, and the room was clean. I felt safe there. The shower curtain looked ancient, though, and water collected in the bath, maybe because the drain was clogged.

The property was filthy, with overflowing trash and bugs all over the walkways. The breakfast area was unsanitary, and several amenities, including laundry, the pool, and the poolside bar, weren’t available. Staff also told my guest they couldn’t stay overnight or have breakfast, even though they were on my reservation and the room fit five people. I booked a double room for two nights at a discounted rate through work. When I extended the stay, the hotel added $27 per night, claiming I was in a suite, and wouldn’t move me to the room I’d actually booked. It wasn’t a suite, and the hotel wasn’t even half full, so there were plenty of open rooms. It felt like a bait and switch. The staff were the rudest and least helpful I’ve ever dealt with, and the place felt like a scam, infested and dirty. Corporate did nothing except give me 6,000 points. I also missed the $50 gift card promotion and was overcharged $260. Never again. Avoid this hotel.

We got a great night’s rest. The place was clean, the waffles, bagels, and coffee were delicious, and the staff were really nice. Definitely recommend it.
