We booked a room for Valentine’s Day to get some privacy from family, but the bathroom quickly became unusable. Water seeped under the flooring after we showered, and when I stepped out, a piece came loose and I nearly fell. The room smelled like mold and wet dog after that, so we kept the bathroom door closed and used the hall restroom. Staff said they were completely full and couldn’t move us. I called today to speak with a manager, as the evening desk worker had advised, but could only leave a message. They said no one could talk until sometime Monday through Friday after 10 a.m. I’m not expecting much. We stayed the night of February 14-15, and we’re very unhappy with how it went.

Everything else about our recent stay was good, but my boyfriend had an uncomfortable encounter with a staff member while I was away. He needed help in the room, and she kept lingering after she was needed and mentioned when she got off work. He has a mental disability, and the interaction made him extremely uncomfortable.

Parking was the one problem. Some spaces were blocked off for remodeling, and with the hotel fully booked, finding room for a full-size truck was difficult. The room itself was very clean, as were the lobby and breakfast area. They seem to be doing some renovations.

The carpet was soaked around the AC, the bathroom was embarrassing, and there was a half-full bottle of Powerade left in the fridge. This place is gross. I paid about $190 to stay here, and they need to put money into the property if they’re going to charge that much.

I’m in room 103, and at 9 a.m. the people in 101 next door were doing decoration work. It was really noisy. I went to the desk and got an apology and an offer to add points to my account. Couldn’t they do the work at 10:30 or 11 instead?
