Red Roof Inn Sherman

The highway construction nearby is the one downside, though they can't control that. I remember coming here more than 30 years ago, when it was pretty nasty. Now that I'm back in my hometown, I'm staying here again, and it's turned around completely. I haven't had any problems at all. Great job, five stars all around!

It's affordable, but I've stayed somewhere much nicer for the same money. The floor was awful and the room was dirty, though the bed wasn't so bad. WiFi was too weak to use. When I told the staff the toilet wouldn't flush, I was abruptly told they could move me, but I had to do it right then or not at all. I had plans, so I had to rush all my things into the new room. They need to be more polite.

The desk attendant was unfriendly, and the room was disgusting. The auxiliary lock on the front door had been broken off, there was spit on the wall that clearly hadn't been cleaned, and the shower ceiling looked like it could cave in any minute. Hwy 75 was incredibly loud, though the fiesta in the parking lot was louder. No coffee maker, iron, or hair dryer, and no value at all. I'd have been better off sleeping in my car. You'll have to pay me to stay here again. I just want to scrub myself with bleach and scotchbrite after that stay. Disgusting, and not safe.

The room was clean, and the gentleman working at check-in was nice and helpful. My husband and I arrived late in the evening after driving through a horrible storm. The one problem was the broken shower: when you tried to take a bath, you got a shower instead, even though the tub would fill up. Not bad overall. We'd stay again if the opportunity came up.
