We stayed just one night at Crisanver House and were warmly greeted by Carol and Andrea on a snowy evening. Our cottage room was cozy and comfortable, and the snow made the Green Mountains look even more inspiring. The next morning’s breakfast in the beautiful conservatory was delicious, with locally sourced and organic ingredients. Thanks, Carol, for the fun conversation.

We kept looking forward to Carol’s delicious breakfasts, whether we ate in the sunroom or on the deck with its spectacular view. Our five nights at Crisanver House were among the most relaxing vacations we’ve had in years. The room was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated, like the rest of the house. Carol, Michael, and Andrea were superb hosts, always helpful with suggestions for local activities and attractions, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The grounds were lovely, too. We enjoyed the tennis court and pool, along with local theater, restaurants, and historic sites. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back another summer.

We planned three nights in 2012 and ended up staying five because we loved the place so much. The food was delicious and served with such care. The whole property was beautiful and remarkably well maintained, with a lovely pool and a great view. Inside, the huge space had gorgeous furniture and thoughtful design. It was very clean, so I could really relax. A romantic, comfortable getaway with sweet owners and a lovely, positive feel. A must stay for anyone looking for a beautiful experience.

We couldn’t use the tennis court because of an injury, but we did enjoy a lovely walk through the surrounding woods. Carol welcomed us warmly even though we arrived early, and we spent time relaxing by the pool and taking in the glorious views. Dinner was delicious, with a view over the tree filled valley and a beautiful sunset. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. In the morning we ate breakfast outside on the terrace, listening to the birds and enjoying the beautifully tended gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crisanver House and would gladly recommend it.

The grounds were idyllic, and I loved walking around the property, down to the pond and through the woods. The house itself was lovely, and Carol and Gail, who served breakfast, were both hospitable. Still, the stay felt expensive, and it was disappointing that we couldn’t have dinner at the house on our arrival night, even though we were the only guests at Crisanver that night. It was nice, but to make the price feel worthwhile, I think you need to use more of the amenities, like the pool, tennis court, or boules.
