Sleep For Less Motel

The Roadway Inn downtown Sidney is my new go-to. I used to stay near Cabela's, but not anymore. The polite gentleman who checked me in pointed out everything, including live music a block away. After eating my Rundza, I walked over and listened for an hour, then came back for a great night's sleep. It's by far the best value on my trip from Oklahoma to Montana. Second place goes to Roadway Inn in Buffalo Wyoming.

For the price, this quaint little motel worked well for us, and we plan to return. My husband liked the nostalgic feel and said it brought back old memories. We arrived late and hadn't realized we needed to contact the owner to have breakfast prepared. There wasn't a hair dryer, so I couldn't use the shower.

The owners are really nice, and the area was quiet. My room was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for the vac truck I was driving and more. The old-school wall heater was cool and kept it nice and toasty. If you want a quiet, comfortable place without frills, this is it. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Sidney again.

This was the best motel of my whole trip from Vancouver WA to Palm Beach FL with my dog. I've stayed in plenty along the way, and this place was safe, clean, pet friendly, and so quiet that my dog wasn't skittish from noises. It's away from the highway, which helped keep things peaceful. My pup stayed in the car near the room door, since the car was loaded and I wanted to park right outside. I called the owner to ask about a room and said I'd arrive around midnight. They gave me the room number over the phone, left the light on, and turned up the heat on a very cold, windy night. It was such a relief to pull in, walk right in, and fall asleep. The coffee was great too, made the old-fashioned way, not weak prepackaged hotel coffee. Highly recommend.
