Motel 6 Sierra Vista - Fort Huachuca

I’ve been here almost a month and haven’t had any problems. The place is clean and well kept, with rooms cleaned daily and a pool that gets cleaned every day. The housekeeping staff are kind and do their jobs, the office staff are very accommodating, and the manager is around making sure things get done right. It’s pet friendly and low priced. It doesn’t have the shampoo and hair products you’d get at a fancy hotel, but compared with the other low price hotels in Sierra Vista, it’s 100% better. I’d rather sleep in my car than stay at either of those other places. They even helped me look for jobs and suggested places to search for a home or apartment. I want to thank the Motel 6 staff for making my move from Alabama to Arizona easier. Everyone has different experiences, but mine and my roommate’s were great.

It’s an older hotel in an older part of town, but we felt safe there. The rooms are small, so don’t expect a suite, though they looked at least partly remodeled. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The price is budget friendly without making the stay unpleasant. The front desk staff were pleasant and attentive throughout, and housekeeping took care of our requests with a good attitude. We had a pup with us, and they were accommodating to him, which we really appreciated. The stay was pleasant overall. Please don’t leave bad reviews just because a Motel 6 price doesn’t buy you a $400 room. That gives people looking for a genuinely nice, affordable stop the wrong impression. The employees were kind, but the facility had some real problems. It was snowing and the room had no heat, with no thermostat or obvious heat source. The office did offer portable heaters. The shower barely trickled, so I had to wash up at the sink with a sponge. For $32, at least I didn’t find bedbugs.

My room was quiet and comfortable during my two-day stay. At checkout I pointed out two maintenance issues: the overhead ventilation filter was completely clogged, with no noticeable airflow, and it looked like the removable 30-day kind. Also, the triangular metal brace on the left side of the bathroom sink support was missing the nut that should secure it to the wall-mounted stud. Nothing seemed loose, but I didn’t try to move or test the structure.
