The kids had plenty of toys and games, and the beds were really comfortable. We had a big group, but the house had enough room to hang out together or find a quiet spot. It was clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed to cook for everyone. The backyard river and falls were incredible in person, and there’s a sauna too. We even swam in September, if you’re feeling brave. It’s close to the state park and Silver Bay’s restaurants and grocery stores. We had a great meal at Northwoods Family Grille, especially the fish fry. We stayed for a friend’s wedding and would definitely come back.

The winding little road back to the B&B makes it feel wonderfully tucked away, and there’s a beautiful river view. My wife and I were in the area for our best friends’ wedding, which coincided with our anniversary. We were coming and going a lot, so we didn’t get as much downtime as we might have liked, but it was still a lovely stay. Breakfast was delicious and unusual, and even though we had the smallest room, we were happy with it. I’m sure we’ll return for another anniversary. Go relax here!

We had a lovely room, and the whirlpool tub was fabulous. The B&B is beautiful, with a cute little sauna, and breakfast in the morning was delicious. I was disappointed that nobody greeted us when we arrived. My son had stayed before and assumed that was because he got in late, but we arrived early and still had to find our room ourselves. It seems check-in is always self-service.

We spent a long winter weekend here and loved how gorgeous it was inside. The website photos really don’t capture it. We booked the Evergreen Suite, and the upgrade felt worth it: there’s a huge luxury bathroom, a romantic potbelly fireplace with simple instructions for first-timers, and a private breakfast nook where they bring breakfast while you’re still in bed. The breakfasts were phenomenal. We went cross-country skiing at nearby parks and snowshoeing in the woods at the B&B, using the snowshoes they provided. The quiet, out-of-the-way setting was great for seclusion. Restaurants are close, though the places they recommended most were about a 15-minute drive. We followed their suggestion and ate at Lemon Wolf Cafe twice. Both meals were a hit.

The River room was so cozy, and we slept on the most comfortable bed we’ve ever had. This was our first B&B, and the owner was very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, and the price was better than at most hotels. The place sits in the woods right beside the Baptism river, with beautiful views of the trees, river, and cliffs. We’re already making plans to come back.
