Our reservation was confirmed the week before, but they canceled it five days before my mother's funeral. We only needed one night after a 10 hour drive. It happened to overlap with the Gilla bike races, and they wanted a longer booking. They wouldn't try to help us.

The rooms are small, and the shower doesn't even have a dish to put soap on. On the first morning, breakfast was just three apples, three overripe bananas, and a waffle maker with the mix sitting beside it for who knows how long. Nobody seemed to be looking after anything, though cameras were everywhere. I've never had worse coffee, it tasted like cologne, and there was no coffee maker in the room. The owners apparently live at the hotel. The next morning, nobody opened the door until 6:30. Maybe they hadn't woken up yet. The remodel looks horrific. A Motel 6 would be ten times better, and that says something. Don't believe the other reviews.

The hotel has been completely remodeled, and the rooms look beautiful. Ours had a microwave and a larger refrigerator with a separate freezer section. The mattress was comfortable, and there was extra seating with a sofa and side chair. The room felt spacious, with convenient parking right outside the door. Breakfast included yogurt, fruit, muffins, and hot waffles.

The Copper Manor has become my go-to for a good room, easy check-in, and a central location. I ask for a fragrance-free room because of allergies, and they always make it happen.

We got caught in a storm while riding through. The next day, they offered us towels to dry our bikes without us even having to ask.
