Best Western Empire Towers

The breakfast was basic but had plenty to choose from: waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, yogurt, cereals, biscuits and gravy, coffee, milk, and several juices. The beds were comfortable, and the room was mostly clean, though I noticed a little dust. The place seemed well maintained, and the woman at check-in was especially warm and welcoming. The TV only had one random channel.

Breakfast was clean and well stocked, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. The pool was enjoyable, though a bit cool for my taste. My room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and I didn’t spot anything unclean, even though I’m not a fan of the carpet color. The sheer curtains had some issues, but the front desk offered to move me and showed me a demo room with the new curtains they’re excited to install. They look beautiful and should brighten the rooms. The property seems to be under renovation, and the TV service was a little wonky, but staff were remarkably friendly and ready with options whenever I needed something, even another pillow. I had a good stay and would come back when I’m in the area. I’d recommend it.

We’ve used this hotel for visiting DJs, brides and grooms, and meetings with clients staying in the area. The staff have always welcomed us and been easy to work with. We’ve never run into cleanliness problems or rude behavior, and the place is quiet. They even helped when our vehicle wouldn’t start one morning. For a stay near Sioux Falls shopping and the interstate, this is where we point people.

I stayed with my 10-year-old and our giant Great Dane, and we all loved it. I was a little nervous because several nearby hotels look rough, but our room was so clean I couldn’t even find dust, which says a lot since I’m picky about hotel cleanliness. I’ve stayed at almost every hotel in Sioux Falls, and this is my favorite. The spacious room was comfortable, breakfast was top notch, and the staff were awesome. The pool looked clean and nice, though we didn’t get to use it. The TV and channels are dated, and the upstairs vending machine was outdated and out of order, but the machines downstairs worked well. Neither issue bothered us much since we don’t watch a lot of TV. I did see the bad review claiming bed bugs, but based on my stay I wonder if that reviewer was mistaken. I know how bad reviews affect businesses, and I think it’s distasteful to make a fuss and hurt a business without proof, especially if someone was just after a handout or felt entitled. Gross behavior. I’ll definitely stay again.
