No TV, and the so-called cleaned room still had three hairs on the shower floor and four on the curtain. You can hear through the hollow doors and thin walls, and any movement, plus the hallway echoes, kept us awake all night. There were four coffee bags but only two sugar packets for two people. You can’t process fish there, even though it’s a world-renowned fishing town. My girlfriend got no sleep on the springy bed, which creaked whenever she moved. This is the worst place we’ve stayed in a long time. We’d rather have slept in the car in the Walmart parking lot. Half a star if I could.

Don’t book here if you might cancel, they won’t refund you. I canceled within an hour, both in person and through Booking.com, but they charged my card anyway and then said nobody had told them I canceled.

We drove six miles out of town, only to be told we had to go back into town for a key and then drive back out to the lodge. The place was dirty and smelled like pot. There were stains on the bathroom walls that made you wonder what had gone on there. It felt like somewhere you don’t want to touch anything. Definitely wouldn’t stay again.

1. Check-in is at another place, a 10-minute drive away once you arrive. 2. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. 3. The walls are paper thin. If you’re even a medium sleeper, expect to be awake for a long time. I rarely give one star.
