Best Western King Frederik

The location is perfect and parking is very easy. But when I booked through a third party site, they added a lot of extra fees. They had my paperwork showing what I'd booked, yet instead of sorting it out with the site, I was stuck on hold for 2 hours at 8pm after a long drive. They quoted the fee I'd agreed with the site to pay back, then added two more surprise fees in the morning. The room was clean except for several hairs in the shower, and there weren't enough towels. Breakfast was paltry and strict for what other similarly priced lodging in the area costs.

The bed was so comfy, with soft, puffy pillows and white linens, and I liked the room and bathroom. The refrigerator was cute and clean. Breakfast was good, simple, and light, just what I needed, though I wish I could've had two pastries. The price is right and the location is perfect.

We loved being so well located, and the room was nice. I liked having a microwave and refrigerator. They give you a postcard coupon for discounts at restaurants and stores. There's a pool and jacuzzi too, though it was too cold for us to swim!

Everything we wanted to do was an easy walk from the King Frederik Inn in Solvang. We stayed a couple of nights after bringing my cousin home to Santa Barbara. The inn had good reviews and reasonable prices, and lived up to its reputation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It was a wonderful, much needed little getaway. We'll definitely come back. Thank you.
