The Marlo

The Marlo has a beautiful courtyard and the price is right for its lovely location. We couldn’t enjoy the courtyard much because it was so cold, and its fireplace doesn’t give off much heat unless you stand right next to it, though I understand that may be for safety. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, and ours had a cute, classy fridge, plus a Keurig with a range of coffees, teas, and creamers. The shower doors swing and don’t stay closed, which was another small drawback. I’d definitely stay here again.

We brought our dog and had a great time at The Marlo. Solvang is a dog-friendly town, and the hotel made traveling with him easy and enjoyable. He loved it as much as we did. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept. We’d absolutely stay again.

The receptionist was amazing and kept trying to fix our TV when it wouldn’t work. She also offered to move us or give us a discount, though we didn’t want to change rooms because ours was just perfect. I’m waiting on the discount and have no doubt it’ll come through. The room was beautiful and clean. We’ll return!

We loved the calm, quaint feel of this hotel, especially the relaxing patio with its lovely atmosphere and fun lawn games. The rooms were very clean, and the manager was so sweet and made us feel welcome. Everything in the shops and dining areas was within walking distance. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, so bring some kind of cushion if you don’t like a rock-hard bed. Still, we loved the place and hope they keep its charm. First visit, but it won’t be our last.
