Budget Inn Somerset

For cheap, it’s a bed and a toilet, so I can’t complain too much. But the room smelled strongly of bleach, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and there were cigarette burns in the curtains, comforter, and chair. The bed springs squeaked and weren’t comfortable. One wall outlet wasn’t even fully covered, and I could see the housing behind the wall. Not a terrible place, just rough.

The new owner seems to have made a lot of positive changes at this quaint little motel. Prices are reasonable, rooms are clean, and the people working there are kind and helpful. It’s well placed for exploring the town and county, with the Pennsylvania Turnpike, restaurants, shops, Historical uptown Somerset, the Chamber of commerce, ski resorts, state parks, Flight 93 Memorial, and the place where the modern day miracle of 9 for 9 happened before the eyes of the world all close by. A good budget option if you want to be near everything the area has to offer.

Nothing fancy at all, and it’s definitely a “no tell Motel,” but the rate was cheap and pets are allowed. I was comfortable and got a good night’s sleep. I’d go back.

For $66 a night with tax, it was better than I expected. They also have smoking rooms.
