Comfort Inn Somerset

The room was beautifully decorated, with a mini fridge and microwave, and breakfast was included from 0600 am to 930 am. There are laundry facilities in the basement, with washing and drying each costing 1.50, plus a detergent vending machine in the room. Pop vending machines are on site too. The outdoor pool looked very nice, though there's no indoor pool. Parking is free and plentiful. We paid 100 bucks total with tax for a gorgeous, very clean room right off Penn turnpike, and the bed, linens, and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel is independently owned, and you can tell: it's well maintained and there's pride in ownership. When we arrived, the front desk clerk was out shoveling snow, and the two women at the desk couldn't have been more helpful. They gave us a 10 percent discount card for a local restaurant in town for dinner. Highly recommend staying here.

There were other rooms vacant that night, so Room 301 shouldn't have been rented with that huge dark red stain on the beige carpet. It looked like brain matter, like something awful had happened there. At checkout the clerk said it was red wine and told us we should've mentioned the hot water earlier. We didn't think much of it at check-in since we only used a little sink water to wash our faces and brush our teeth before bed. The window was filthy and stained on the outside, as if it had been neglected for years. The clerk also said she couldn't do anything because we'd booked through Expedia. Lesson learned. My mother and I stayed Sunday, September 28, 2025, while we were in town to pay our respects at the Flight 93 National Memorial. The room had no hot water, and it was an overnight we'd rather forget.

I was there for a BMW MOA Laural Highlands Rally. The air conditioning gave me trouble, but they fixed it promptly. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was nice, clean, and quiet, and breakfast was the usual waffles, eggs, sausage, and cereal. I'd definitely go back.

We stay here whenever a trip takes us into or through the area. It's an older hotel, but well kept, with wonderful staff and a really comfortable bed. You get a nice breakfast, and there's a discount card for Pine Grill Restaurant, which is a short walk away and quite good. It's close to the Turnpike without the road noise.
