Ute Bluff Lodge

We were on a spontaneous family trip with no plans and needed a place for the night. I found this spot while looking for somewhere along the way to our next destination, and the prices were great. We arrived late, around 7 pm, and there was already an envelope at the office with my name, the key, and the WiFi password. Perfect! The place is cute, the rooms are clean and nice, and the area is beautiful. If you need somewhere outdoorsy, quick, and reasonably priced around here, I'd recommend it. Absolutely love it!

The bedroom was nice, but the photos didn't match what we found. The cabins are actually three-unit buildings, not standalone cabins. Nobody was in the office during our stay. The bathroom door didn't close properly, and once shut, it was hard to open. There was half-eaten pizza in the fridge that the cleaning staff hadn't thrown out, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly.

I've been here almost two months with my family, and they keep working with us. They always ask if we need room service, and the rooms are nice and spacious. The staff make sure we're comfortable. I love it here and promise I won't stay anywhere else. It's amazing.

We stay here often, especially for ski season, and have never been disappointed. It's affordable, clean, friendly, and close to Wolf Creek Ski Resort. When we recently got on the road later than planned, Ute Bluff Lodge was the only place that answered the phone and booked us a cozy room for a 3 am check-in. It was 5° outside in whiteout conditions, but the room was a perfect 70°. You actually talk to a nice person when you call, since this isn't run by a giant corporation. Highly recommend!
