Monroe Manor Inn

The homemade granola was so good I even wrote down the recipe. Rashid was always smiling and made sure breakfast worked for our vegan and vegetarian diets. Charming place, clean and comfortable.

We’ll definitely stay here again. It’s quiet, the location is just right, and our room was clean and really comfortable. Rashid is such a good host that you feel like family instead of guests.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and smelled lovely, and the place itself was very nice. I’ve stayed at quite a few B&Bs over the past few years, though, and expected more from breakfast. There was just a mini fridge downstairs with bottled water and coffee, plus cream and sugar. I’ve gotten used to fresh baked goods, different creamers, thoughtful extras, and a big gourmet breakfast at other places. A little more effort on those offerings could make a stay more memorable for future guests.

The hosts made a delicious breakfast and suggested several places for me to visit, which I really appreciated. I was on my first solo trip, and staying here felt just right. The Monroe Room was lovely for my two nights, and I liked reading in the Manor living room and sitting on the porch swing. It’s under a 10 minute drive to the beaches and shops of South Haven. I plan to come back to South Haven and would stay here again.
