Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) by IHG

Chrissy at the front desk is what makes each visit feel so welcoming. She's genuine, friendly, and goes out of her way to accommodate our need for a first-floor room because of mobility issues. We're lucky she's there to keep guests happy. I've stayed at the Kingston Holiday Inn for the past four years while visiting my daughter at URI, and I always look forward to coming back. The rooms are consistently clean and spacious, the location is very convenient for campus, and the URI discount is better than the AAA one.

We got a lot for the price, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, too. It's in a great spot close to the University of Rhode Island.

The pool was very nice and clean, and the bed and pillows were at least comfortable. Our first-floor room was clean, but felt damp, almost like the sheets and rug were a little wet. The air conditioning worked, though it was a loud, old wall unit. My son found dog hair all over his sheets the first night, but the front desk quickly changed them. There was also a dog barking next door for the first two nights; the staff did try to address it. The hotel has a restaurant attached, but we ate elsewhere since there were plenty of other choices in the area.

Jason and the crew are awesome. This is the cleanest Holiday Inn in America so far. My neighbor in the next room might be pregnant now, though 😂 The room was rocking 😂
