Extended Stay America Select Suites Springfield South

We really enjoyed our month-long stay. The room was nice and clean, and everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you all so much for your kindness and hospitality. God bless you! I also got to make a couple of crafts while we were there, and here are pictures of them.

The front desk was such a breath of fresh air. I’ve never had better accommodation. Everyone treats guests with kindness and respect, and I really appreciate it. This is an amazing place. Keep it up, guys!

I’ve been here for a month, and it’s nice and peaceful. The staff are amazing and ready to help for the whole stay if you need anything. The place is very clean and neat, and the location is great. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

My daughter prepaid for a two-month stay while doing a clinical rotation in Springfield. During the first month, male guests repeatedly loitered and drank outside the hotel, harassing her. One of them, who wore an ankle tether, approached her one afternoon while she was sitting alone and left her feeling very unsafe. She immediately arranged to move to another hotel. The front desk told her to contact the police for an escort to her car, but staff showed no further concern and didn’t ask for details. As far as we know, the security cameras weren’t reviewed. The manager said we’d get a refund for the unused part of her prepaid stay if we provided the police incident number, which we did. We heard nothing after that. Calls to the local manager and Extended Stay America Guest Relations weren’t returned, and our written complaint got no response. After a month of trying repeatedly to speak with an ESA manager, we finally got a call saying Extended Stay America wouldn’t refund anything because the stay had been prepaid. This has been extremely maddening. My daughter was traumatized by what happened, and the company’s lack of follow-through or concern is disgusting. I would NOT stay at this hotel if I were a single woman, and I’d never prepay for a stay. If her experience didn’t qualify for a refund, I don’t know what would.
