At Quality Inn – South Lake Tahoe, the staff were kind and helpful. They got me extra blankets when I asked, and sorted out my lost room key professionally and without hassle. I felt welcome and comfortable thanks to their patient, honest service. I really appreciated the support and would gladly stay here again. I'd recommend it to others too.

For 72 for one night, I got a clean room at a reasonable price near the lake. Breakfast in the lobby was excellent, more than I expected. The staff seemed semi normal. I'd definitely stay here again.

We paid $250 for each of three rooms, and every one was dirty. The sheets had stains, the bathrooms were filthy, and there was urine around the sides of the toilet bowls. We didn't shower that night. I ended up wiping down the toilets and sinks myself. There was rubbish on the floors, even a bottle cap, and my grandchildren picked up a paper flute they found. Who knows what disease the person who used it might have had. The place looks renovated, but cleanliness was awful. We were tired and it was late, so we didn't go looking for somewhere else.

The location is handy for the beach and Nevada side casinos, and there's enough parking if you arrive early. But at $279 a night, I expected much better. The photos give the wrong impression, and I wouldn't recommend staying unless you really have to. It isn't worth that price. The room was in rough shape, with dirty, torn-up walls and floors, broken curtains, and dusty furniture. At least the sheets looked clean. The hallways smelled bad and had dirty carpet and walls with holes. Breakfast was basic cafeteria food, and honestly I've had better cheap food at Motel 6. They watered down the juice from the machine, so I threw mine away. Other guests mostly kept to themselves, though some were very disrespectful in shared areas.
