Comfort Inn Monroe

We checked in at 3 pm, but by about 5 we'd already checked out. My son cleaned the tub after we got to the room, and once we came back, the dust and dirt were still everywhere. The tub was dirty, the counters were dusty, and the ice bucket had dust on it plus dried orange-looking sauce inside. There was so much ice built up in the freezer section of the fridge, too. I even started wondering whether the bedding had been changed. I told the guy at the desk he could keep the money since I don't like arguing, but we couldn't stay. I let him know room 318 was very dirty. It looked nice online.

The young woman at the front desk was so sweet, and the room was roomy and clean. For the price around here, this is easily the best deal. I'd say go for it. Thanks for a great stay 🙏

My fiance and I have been staying here since June or July. Staff have been really friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick. I did have to ask for fresh towels and sheets a few times. It was mostly quiet, except when someone upstairs stomped around. Still, we had a great stay and I'll come back. Elois T (104)

The jacuzzi was the trouble. In the room we were first given, its motor was loud and barely worked, so we asked to switch rooms. They did that quickly, but the second jacuzzi would run for just a minute or two, then stay off for 10-15 minutes before starting again. There weren't any more jacuzzi rooms to move us to when we reported it, though they gave us a 50% refund for the inconvenience. The room itself was dated but clean, and the bed and couch seemed newer and were comfortable. We arrived an hour before check-in and they let us in early. The process was easy and fast, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is being renovated, so the lobby was somewhat disrupted and its main restroom was out of order. The area by the first-floor elevator had an odor that worried us at first, but our floor smelled fine.
