The room and staff’s handling of our stay made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. After my wife was wrongly suspected of having a dog, staff entered our room and searched through our belongings while I was at work. They later admitted there was no dog, but my wife’s severe anxiety was badly triggered, and I had to take her to the hospital. Our things, including my military uniforms, were left in disarray. Getting an explanation at the desk was difficult because neither the staff member nor the manager could communicate with me easily. The room itself was in awful shape. The TV was broken and hanging off its stand, with no channels working. There were dead bugs inside the light fixtures, visible mold, rusted bathroom fixtures, a blood-stained surface, and black mold in the sink. We’d arrived late and had nowhere else to go, so we stayed that night. The next morning, housekeeping banged loudly on the room beside ours for nearly two hours, setting off another panic episode for my wife. The towels had black and yellow stains, so she couldn’t use them. I packed while she tried to shower. Even though late checkout had been agreed to, we were suddenly made to leave. As we left, the manager looked at my wife as if she were stealing the already dirty towels. It was disrespectful and uncalled for. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The conditions were so bad that I think the health department should be contacted.

I left as quickly as I could. The room didn’t look like it had been deep cleaned, and the window pane was broken. When I went to switch on another light, I saw blood on the switch. Save yourself the time and money and book somewhere else.

I’m still waiting to hear about a refund. I brought my wife and infant son here because our son was having surgery, and the service was severely disappointing. Each time I went to the front desk, I had to get someone’s attention before they even acknowledged me. Housekeeping also tried to come in three times while the do not disturb sign was up. The room was dirty, the sheets had yellow stains, and the ice bucket was gross. I’m pretty sure there was a bullet hole through the closet into the ceiling.

We knew this was a low-budget place, but still expected a clean room that didn’t stink. Ours was meant to be non-smoking, yet it reeked of smoke, and there was blood on the linens. Cheap room spray couldn’t cover the odor. Staff seemed not to care about anything. There are plenty of other hotels within a couple of miles, and any of them are likely better. We won’t be back and can’t recommend it.
