Getting around was easy from here, with restaurants, shops, and major roads nearby. Even so, it was quiet at night. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, with fresh linens and a cozy bed. Housekeeping had paid attention to the details. The staff were helpful and friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick and simple. For the price, it was a good value. I’d consider staying here again for a short visit.
The pool was clean and a lot of fun, and the beds were comfortable. Every room was really clean, too. The staff were so nice and the service was amazing. Best motel I’ve stayed at, and I’d definitely recommend it.
BEWARE, THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED. They’ll still take a reservation over the phone and your money without telling you the place caught fire and shut down. I drove all the way there and found it closed and not operating. When I called to complain, the woman said I must have booked through a third party like Hotels.com or Expedia. That’s false. I have a direct email from Motel 6 and screenshots showing the number I called. I booked by phone because reviews mentioned renovated and non-renovated rooms, and I wanted to make sure I got a renovated one. I called Motel 6 back and pretended I wanted to book for the next day. I asked if it was open, and the man said, “Yes, full operational, renovated hotel.” I asked if there hadn’t been a fire and it wasn’t closed, and he replied that it was fully operational and open. I see reservations being taken on the Motel 6 site and all over Google. Don’t fall for this, they’ll take your money. I didn’t get a cancellation email until after my check-in time, after I’d wasted time and money, used gas, and missed a work meeting. I’m reporting this to the BBB and speaking to a lawyer because of the time, travel, gas, inconvenience, and missed work. I’m looking into a lawyer for compensation and what a joke this is. Have fun being sued. And don’t believe the company’s reply to my review. I posted proof it was through Motel 6 and even called their number directly. Nice try, whoever is replying. It says Motel 6. I’ve been traveling for over seven years. A third-party reservation looks different and says something like “Hotels.com, thanks for your booking at Motel 6.” My email came directly from Motel 6. Don’t fall for these false claims.
There were random men going in and out of several rooms, which made the whole place feel unsettling, unwelcoming, and scary. My friends and I had planned to stay one night in Windsor, but before we could check in, every person had to show ID at the front desk. That seemed very unusual, and they held onto our IDs far too long. As soon as we entered the room, we checked it for safety issues. The sheets and pillows had stains and burn holes, and there was pubic hair on the sheets. Nothing seemed clean, so we left right away. The man at the desk was no help with a refund and became passive aggressive. The security deposit is ridiculous. There’s a Hampton hotel less than a block away that was much more comfortable. Save your money.
For a budget stay, it’s decent enough, with clean rooms and friendly staff. The nearby road gets noisy at night, and the decor is dated. Fine if you just need somewhere to crash.
