The Blue Inn At North Fork

I'm not sure I'd choose this place again, given the manager's lack of hospitality. She seemed irritated at check-in, and several people in our group had the same impression. She also couldn't recommend a good lunch spot, which seemed ridiculous. With so many places to stay around Orient Point, a hotel manager should be easygoing and helpful. That said, our second-floor room was comfortable and clean. The vaulted ceilings in that motel section of the inn made it feel even more spacious, and the bed and linens were comfortable. We slept well during our two nights for a family wedding weekend. Every so often, the breeze carried lavender from the grower's fields next to the property.

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, which was a nice bonus, and there was a pleasant outdoor pool for the kids. The cleaning staff stop cleaning rooms after 12pm, but we only needed fresh towels and just asked for them. It's a nice hotel and good value compared with some other places in wine country. The rooms could use updating, but they're still clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone staying around Greenport.

We were two couples and stayed for two nights, though we wished we could have stayed longer. Mary O'Brien, the General Manager, checked us in early and was kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and updated, and every appliance worked perfectly. The pool was delightful, and the grounds were clean and well kept. We'll be back for sure.

This is a really nice spot. The rooms are furnished well, the other guests were pleasant, and the pool is a good fallback if you don't feel like leaving the grounds. We came for a short stay to check out beaches, restaurants, and other things. Walking places is tough, but with a bike or car, everything is just minutes away. My only complaint is that damn lavender picking farm next door. Cars back up for miles as people wait to pick lavender or whatever, and it's right on the way to the inn. Sure, it smells nice and it's a popular attraction, but I just want to get back to my room! At least there are lots of vineyards along the way.
