Moose Inn

I was going to skip writing a review about the dirty room and hard beds, but then they charged us extra money over what I believe were false accusations. We were just passing through for one night and were very clean. They claimed we stained their towels, which we hadn’t. Even if we had, the towels were white and could easily be bleached. I worked as a housekeeper for vacation rentals for years, and this feels like a poor excuse to add a charge. If they needed money for new towels, this isn’t the way to do it. We travel to Idaho often, but this will be my last stay at the moose inn.

We asked for pictures of the towels they said needed extra cleaning, and it was clear the dirt came from the floor. That was the final indignity. The room was supposed to be handicap accessible, but the handicap parking space wasn’t the closest one. I had to get my walker over a small rise in the doorway, and the bed was so high that even with a step stool my husband had to help me into it. There were no shower handrails, so he had to go in with me to keep me from falling. There was no Kleenex, the outlet cover next to the bed was broken, and one bar stool was stained. We’ll find somewhere else next year.

Everything was ready when I got there, and the lodging was extremely nice. I’ll definitely stay here again!

The room was big and spacious, and the location is really convenient for Silverwood. Cleanliness could be better, though. We found coffee pods left from the previous guest, and after walking around in our socks, they came away black from the floor. The price was reasonable, so I don’t hate the place. I just hope they do a better job cleaning the room.
