Best Western Springfield

The mall is less than half a mile away, and the rooms are clean with good housekeeping. I liked the self-serve breakfast, the comfortable bed, and the cool TV. There’s an outdoor pool and an indoor gym with cardio equipment and yoga space. The front desk is often empty, though there’s a virtual assistant beside it, and it’s a real person, not AI. Breakfast and pool hours weren’t very convenient, the gym and yoga area are small, and the place isn’t especially fancy. Still, it’s good value based on my honest experience.

For the price, it’s clean and decent value. Breakfast was a nice bonus, and the two gym spaces are pretty good, though the beds and pillows felt a little small. The odd part was the empty front desk. There’s a virtual assistant on camera, apparently a real person. It seems like Best Western may be outsourcing this, which felt strange. Why not have someone directly at the front of the business instead of relying on help that feels somewhat robotic?

The virtual check-in setup was a little odd, but if you needed a person, they would send one. I was happy with the price and the location worked perfectly for me. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and the room was clean, with fantastic housekeeping and a comfortable bed. I’m not sure what the bad reviews are about.

During my first visit in September 2025, a maintenance worker came into my room while I was getting ice and saw my wife half naked. He just walked right in. I told the front desk manager, but they didn’t seem to care much. This is the second time I’ve had a problem here. Housekeeping was loud at 8am, speaking Spanish on their phones, slamming doors deliberately, and knocking while yelling “Housekeeping.” I won’t come back here or to any other BW property. Long story short, do not come to this hotel.
