La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield

Whenever I’m in town for parent events or to visit my daughter at OU, I stay here. I’m a platinum member, and they’ve always accommodated whatever I’ve needed. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, and I can’t see myself staying anywhere else here. Andrea and Jacob have been amazing on the graveyard shifts when I’ve had reservation problems, late night requests, or a late check-in. Amber and Teresa are awesome on days and go above and beyond. From making the reservation to checking out, everything is always perfect. Thanks for all you do. I appreciate you and look forward to seeing you next time!

The mattresses were good, but the rooms need updating. The bed bases should be replaced and the carpets either removed or properly cleaned. There was a lot of road noise and no freezer for ice packs. A few restaurants are within walking distance.

I ended up booking at another property after a string of problems. I couldn't check in until after 1:00 a.m., was put in the wrong room, and found it filthy and smelling of pets. They didn't comp me for any of it. I also had to pay a $250 deposit for my child because of his ID, and the receptionist seemed high as a kite. Wyndham rewards and La Quinta did nothing to resolve the issue. If you stay at any Wyndham rewards hotel, double check your points and money. They took my money and wouldn't address the problem they caused. Never again. I don't trust the company or staff.

I’m surprised this place has anything less than perfect reviews. The room was spacious and so clean, and they even gave us a goody bag. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever come across at a hotel, and I travel a lot. When I had an issue with Expedia, they handled it about as well as anyone could. Highly recommend!
