Quality Inn And Suites Springfield Southwest Near I-72

The front desk staff were nice, but this place is falling apart and the owners clearly don’t care. The bathroom door wouldn’t open because it hit the tub, the sink was backed up, and the counter was coming apart. The carpet and pillows were dirty. Breakfast was junk. A woman kept hovering around and talking to guests while sweeping dirt right toward the food. This is the most dilapidated hotel I’ve seen in Springfield so far, and I’ve stayed in a lot of different ones. The owners seem to be trying to make as much money as possible until the health department shuts it down.

The room rates were a great deal, but the rooms weren’t very clean and had a urine smell. The hallways smelled that way too. Breakfast was really good, and the woman looking after it was very nice.

We came to spend a night together as a family, but some nasty boys stole my son’s money. The young man at the desk said there was nothing he could do, wouldn’t call management to check the cameras, and told us we couldn’t get our money back. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE!!

It’s 3:46 in the morning as I write this, and some of the ceiling just fell beside the desk. Moisture from above seems to have loosened it. I also found black hairs in the shower and dirt all around the tub, so maintenance and cleanliness are real issues. Before that, the pool and jacuzzi seemed great, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. I had a pet, and the pet fee was reasonable, but the pet didn’t come inside because he watches my vehicle. The front desk person was polite, respectful, and helpful. I haven’t tried breakfast yet. This is my first time here, but I’ll return and hope things improve. I would’ve liked to give it 5 stars.
