Village Inn Springfield

Friends warned us this place was nasty after we booked, but maybe that was true in the past. It was perfectly fine for our November night. The building is dated, sure, but everything worked and, above all, it was clean. We paid much less than other places around, had plenty of parking, and found the lobby clean and staffed around the clock. It was quiet with few other guests, and they had coffee, bottled water, granola bars, and instant oatmeal there. Nothing fancy, just what we needed.

We drive to Eugene often, and it’s getting harder to find a place with this kind of value. The older building is in great shape, and the staff offered to deal with noise or other issues, though we had none. Gas, restaurants, groceries, and the freeway are all nearby. Kirin City Restaurant, right in the parking lot, was clean, quick, reasonably priced, and staffed by friendly people. It compares well with Campus Inn in Eugene, but costs less. The staff here were very friendly, too.

There’s a peaceful patio with a fountain and koi, and the restaurant in the lot serves really good Chinese and Japanese food, including sushi and sashimi. Shopping and other restaurants are close by, too. Inside, the rooms are clean and quiet, with comfortable beds, TV, and Wi-Fi. The staff were super helpful and friendly. No breakfast, but the office has coffee pods, tea, and bottled water. I totally love this hidden gem in Springfield! 😍

Easy to get on and off the highway, and the rooms are quiet. Diedra at the front desk was excellent, and the rooms had everything I wanted, with the extras in the office just right. I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem. It’s better than anywhere else I’ve stayed around here and will definitely be my go-to from now on. Thanks, Village Inn, for a great stay!
