Silver Horseshoe Inn

The owner was friendly and helpful, with tips on places to eat nearby. With Yellowstone just 70 miles away and prices rising as you get closer from Idaho Falls, this felt like a great value. We'd stay again in a heartbeat. Our remodeled room at Silver Horseshoe Inn had lovely furnishings and felt like a mix of the best parts of a hotel and Airbnb. It was spotless and had a comfy queen bed and couch, a fully stocked kitchen, desk, space heater, amazing fridge, extra linens, and plenty of toiletries. The breakfast waiting in the fridge and freezer was included, and there was enough for four meals between the two of us. There were also bunk beds for kids for an extra $15 per person.

We only stayed one night at Silver Horseshoe Inn while traveling, but it felt like a special, historic place. We had the comfortable suite, which was charming and decorated with so much thought. Everything was impeccably clean, and the service was welcoming, friendly, and fun. After hundreds of hotel stays, this is the first room I've ever taken a photo of as we were leaving.

We stayed in a studio, which had pretty much everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept really well. The restaurant wasn't open yet, so the owner provided breakfast ingredients for us to make our own, including little orange juices, which was a nice touch. The owner was friendly, and we had a great chat about hunting. It's a cozy, unique place, and we'll stay here again when we're passing through town.

After a few days at Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, this was a good place to get some rest and do laundry before the next part of our trip. The staff were personable and accommodating, and the updated rooms were spacious and clean. We'd stay again.
