During our house renovation, we stayed here several times. The rooms were consistently clean, comfortable, and everything worked. Lots of stores and restaurants were about a five-minute drive away. A large gap under the door let in cold air and kept the heater running constantly, but it was still well worth the money.
8/10
The front desk staff were very nice, but the room didn’t look like the online pictures at all. The photos and reviews weren’t truthful.
6/10
The staff were really friendly, but the room needs a deep clean. There were also very few outlets for plugging things in.
2/10
We left as soon as we saw the room. It had weak doors that seemed easy to break into, holes in the walls that raised privacy and security concerns, dirty sheets, stained carpets, and an awful smoke smell even though we booked a non-smoking room. The bathroom was disgusting, and foul odors filled the room and hallways. The online photos were completely misleading. This felt like a cheap motel and wasn’t worth the risk to our health or safety. The front desk acknowledged the room’s condition, and after following up we did get a refund. Still, no one should have to go through this. I regret booking Days Inn by Wyndham St. Clairsville. It’s not safe for solo women travelers or families with kids. If you care about your safety and well-being, stay somewhere else. Paying a little more for a clean, safe place is 100% worth it.

I booked Candlewood, then realized it was the right city but the wrong state. I canceled within two minutes, but they still charged me. When I called to explain, she said it was a no-cancellation room. Candlewood won’t get any more of my money.
