Red Carpet Inn Terre Haute

My husband booked a room here, but they wouldn't return his deposit. He was told the mattresses and everything else had been changed because of bed bugs. They still have them. This place needs a pest control company to get rid of them.

We spotted a roach within 15 minutes, after walking into a room that reeked of cigarettes. When we told the front desk we didn't want to stay, the receptionist yelled and threatened to call the police. Awful room and experience. I think I developed a smoking addiction. DO NOT STAY HERE.

It was quiet, and the service was simple. They didn't bother customers as much as staff at other hotels do. The place could use updates, inside and out.

The bathroom wall was leaking water from the room behind it, and the place was filthy. There were roaches as well as bed bugs in room 154. When I asked the owner at the office for my money back, they denied there were bed bugs, walked away from the window, and wouldn't speak to me. Camping would be cleaner. I wouldn't give this even one star, but the review site makes me post a rating. The next day, after I had posted this, the owner or manager called wanting to talk. There was nothing to discuss by then. I'd already gone to another motel and paid for a different room.
