The Dalles House Motel

I stayed here for two weeks while visiting the local ski resort, and I’ll be back next year. The location is great, near Walmart, fast food, and a grocery store. The staff are friendly, and Anthony always checks that we’re enjoying our stay and have what we need, like towels. After a day of snowboarding, the pool and sauna are perfect for relaxing. I’d recommend this place.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The walls weren’t paper thin either, and we never heard people in the hallway or other rooms. The people who work there are nice, helpful, and respectful. It’s a great place to stay. We knew it wasn’t a five-star hotel and didn’t expect one.

The staff really make it feel like a home away from home, and the rates are affordable for the service. It’s under new ownership, so they’re in the middle of revamping the place, but the new owners are amazing. There’s a pool, a sauna, and a nice restaurant right next door. The location is prime, and they even let my family, who I was visiting, swim for free. I’ll keep coming back whenever I visit my son.

I booked the honeymoon suite for the jacuzzi, and it was the real deal. Lots of hotels call a slightly oversized bathtub a jacuzzi, but this one was the genuine article. After I traveled through a Wisconsin snowstorm, Anthony had lit candles arranged around it to make the stay more relaxing. Those thoughtful touches fit the homey feel of the hotel. Anthony takes pride in the place, and his attention to detail shows. Thanks, Anthony, for making this the relaxing stay I was looking for.
