Boardwalk Inn

It was hard for me to relax with the band, noise in the hallway, a beeping exterior door lock, and the portable AC exhaust making it impossible to block outside noise. The location is beautiful, but the place comes across as a music venue and bar first, with the hotel second. There's no public space reserved just for hotel guests either. It didn't work for us, though I'm sure other people would enjoy it.

The hosts were incredibly attentive, and Fireworx bar had just the right drinks and atmosphere. Our room, the Mad Men room, was beautifully equipped, and the mattress and bedding gave me the best night's sleep I'd had in years. We were there in July 2025, and I still think about those bath towels. I looked them up to see if I could buy them for home, they were the plushest, softest, most absorbent towels I've ever used. The hotel is only steps from the best restaurants and places in St. Ignace, and we even watched the fireworks from the hotel bar on Saturday night. We had such a great time. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, and we'll absolutely be back.

The rooms and decor are beautiful, and the whole place has a fantastic vibe. We also loved the free breakfast and excellent coffee at Boardwalk Coffee and General Store down the street. We'll be back!

We spent three nights here and had so much fun stopping by the lounge every evening. Charlie, the owner, was there working or entertaining the crowd each time, while Shannon made our drinks and brought our food. The location was perfect, our room was awesome, and the staff were incredible. After we left, there was an issue with the bill, but Charlie fixed it right away. We're already planning another trip.
