Cedar Hill Lodge

We got a great price, including $10 casino free play per person. The room was clean but could use some updates. There was a big gap under the door. Luckily it wasn't cold outside, and no critters got in while I slept. The bed really needs replacing. It's so soft I sank way down, almost like I was being enveloped, and my feet sat about a foot higher than my head. The shower pressure was great, though.

We had a great stay at cedar hill. The place is gorgeous, with kind, friendly staff, and it's close to the ferry to macinac island. They run a shuttle throughout the day. Check-in and checkout were seamless, and there was free breakfast, though we never got down to try it. There are communal fire pits, and if the owner is around, he'll help light them. When our car battery died as we were leaving, the owner kindly helped jump-start it. Victor was so kind and willing to help however he could. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was spacious and really comfortable. Our balcony was nice, though it looked out onto the street. The gentleman checking us in was very kind and waited up because we arrived late. Breakfast wasn't great: the eggs were dry, and the sausage was gone by 8am and wasn't replenished. They did have a waffle machine, though I'm not a waffle person.

Victor (Vivek) is outstanding. He's smart, handsome, strong, helpful, intelligent, hardworking, and everything else you could ask for. I've stayed here several times, and he's been the man every time. I'd come just for him. He wows me. Best hotel in the UP. Shout out to Victor, a one-man show who always puts his best foot forward and doesn't disappoint!
