Guest Host Motel

Hotel.com’s photos don't match the room we actually saw. Many buildings around this area appear abandoned. The hotel is 10-15 minutes from several interesting tourist attractions, though. Some parts of town feel safer than others, as they do in most places, so stay alert and aware of your surroundings.

My family needed somewhere to stay for the night because my son and I were in the hospital with a medical emergency. I called, and the people on the phone were rude and talked to me like trash. Those worthless people. Ugh.

Room 120 should be avoided. The room was filthy: smashed roach remains smeared on the walls, holes all over, and cigarette butts on the floor like someone had barely swept. My husband found weed stems behind the strangely placed nightstands. Only one part of the two outlets worked, so we had to choose between having light and charging our phones. The bathroom had no door, and the toilet wouldn't flush the thin paper they provided. The shower instructions were written directly on the walls in Sharpie, like graffiti. The bed had burn holes and dust, and the stains were anyone's guess. The blankets smelled as if they'd been washed with ammonia, left wet in a pile for weeks, then dried. There was black mold all over the bathroom. I kept sneezing and woke with a sore throat. In the tub, it looked like paint had been scraped off, with the dust and flakes left behind. The TV had no remote. I’m probably forgetting more. The area felt unsafe, with garbage everywhere and people yelling outside and in the rooms above us. We could hear every footstep, and my husband woke to sirens nearby. Please don't bring kids here. There were no mini fridges, microwaves, or safes, either. If you want the feeling of staying in an abandoned house where the utilities barely work, go ahead. This was the worst Valentine's Day stay, absolutely disgusting, and the place didn't deserve the 2.4 stars it had when I wrote this. Honestly, sleeping in your car would be cleaner and safer. Don't trust the pictures on other websites or Google Photos.

They were supposed to charge $10 for a third person for one night, but it came to $20. Buuttt... lol.
