Hideaway Sands Resort

We had a great stay and would come back. Our two-bedroom worked well for two adults and two kids, even though the rooms felt a little tighter than places we’ve stayed elsewhere. The sofa bed mattress was miserable, so I slept on the couch itself instead. The office staff were very friendly, and having laundry on site was convenient, though it costs extra. Being right on the beach was great. The only real drawback was no elevator. The stairs were tiring for my 85-year-old adult companion.

Those Gulf Coast sunsets are never the same, so we get together for cocktails and watch another beautiful day end almost every night. We’ve owned here for over 20 years, and there’s so much to like about this resort, especially the beach and location. Cathy and Gordon in the office are amazing, always responsive, prompt, and courteous.

We’ve been owners for about ten years and haven’t had a bad experience. It’s a quiet, clean, well-managed little place with plenty of time for the beach. There are one-bedroom and efficiency units, along with two-bedroom townhouses. Keep in mind that there are no elevators to the second-floor rooms or the townhouses. If you’re after something modern like a Marriott, this probably isn’t the place for you.

We have a lovely beach view from the balcony, and we use the well-maintained pool quite often. Our unit is spotless whenever we arrive and has everything we need. We own two different weeks of the timeshare, and the staff have been very, very helpful with anything we need.
