Super 8 Stafford

There was no real breakfast, just coffee and apples. The room itself was clean, but it needs better upkeep and someone should check that everything works. The sink stopper was stuck shut, the bathroom outlet didn’t work even after I tried the reset, and there was only hot water at the sink because the plumber hadn’t turned the cold water back on.

Online check-in and checkout made things easy, and this felt like the best value around. We had a short stay and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and clearly had been updated recently.

The room on the second floor smelled like someone had smoked in it, and then I found pubic hair in the sink. I checked under the covers and found more on the sheets. The other guests made the place feel sketchy, like people coming out of rehab or somewhere between homelessness and drug rehab. When we tried to cancel, they wanted to keep $100. It was absolutely disgusting. If you value your peace of mind, don't stay at Super 8. Super 8, more like super sketchy.

I've stayed here for a while, and the desk staff and maintenance guy are some of the nicest hotel people I've met. They make you feel welcome, and they've treated me fairly. It's a good, honest business with excellent service. If you need a place in Stafford, I'd definitely recommend it.
