Clarion Pointe Statesville

There was updating work happening around the building, which left very few spots for dogs to potty. The hotel also seems to be near emergency services, since sirens went off a lot at night. Still, I’d stay again. The rooms were very clean and looked recently updated, and the pet friendly ones have hard floors and handy outside access. Breakfast had more than I expected from a continental.

We booked two rooms and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was pretty good and quiet at night, and we had a great stay overall. I’d come back, though the rooms could be cleaner, especially the bathrooms and floors. I didn’t trust the black towels to be sanitary, since I’d never seen black hotel towels before, so I bought my own. The location is good, with food places, Ingles, Walmart, a small shopping plaza, and Dollar General nearby. Traffic right there is kind of crazy because the intersection makes no sense, the traffic circle doesn’t work quite right, and the highway ramps are there too. Breakfast was cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, and waffles. None of that appealed to me, so we went across the street to Waffle House.

For our first anniversary, my wife and I went to Love Valley's Cowboys Christmas. Statesville was close, though the whole drive was almost 200 miles. We’d reserved somewhere else, but when we got there they had no room for us. At Clarion pointe, we were welcomed like friends and got a room. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night. Definitely recommend.

We booked a king suite and were surprised at how spacious it was. It seemed like two rooms had been combined, with one turned into a living and dining area plus a kitchenette. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the bed had five pillows. The location was handy, with shopping and restaurants close by, yet the hotel itself was quiet and away from things. I’d absolutely stay again.
