Getting our cash deposit back turned into a long hassle. We’d said we needed to check out around 4 AM for work, and the front desk said they’d leave a note so it could be returned. At checkout, though, the employee said we had to wait until 9 AM for housekeeping. After nearly 40 minutes of back and forth, he checked the room and gave the deposit back. Before arrival, we’d been told the deposit was $100 by card or $200 in cash. My partner and I were both on the reservation, but he wasn’t allowed to check in when he arrived before me. I paid for the room when I got there, and he paid the $200 cash deposit. Between the service, the room’s condition, and the trouble getting our money back, the stay was very disappointing.

The room was covered in black mold, and they wouldn’t refund me. The front desk man refused to go look, give me his name, or document the problem. He was very rude. I can’t believe Priceline or Wyndham would allow this. I contacted both, and they blamed each other. I’m going to notify the health department. Anyone who has stayed there should get checked by a doctor, since black mold exposure can be deadly.

I booked online through trip and only learned at the hotel that there was a $200 room deposit. I told the front desk guy it hadn’t been stated while I was booking, and that I wouldn’t have made the reservation if I’d known. He was rude and disrespectful. When I tried to cancel, they basically said I’d lose my $77. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The place looked awful as soon as I pulled up, but I’d already booked online and had been driving a long time. I asked the front desk for the cleanest room they had. It looked nothing like the pictures: there was a hole in the ceiling, a strong mold odor, and bugs all over. We took one look and left immediately. When I asked for my money back, they told me to deal with Expedia. The hotel is run down and smells terrible, nothing like its advertising. I wish I’d read more reviews first. I can’t believe Days Inn puts its name behind this dump. I wouldn’t give it a single star.
