Hilton Garden Inn Statesville

The room was clean and lovely, and the whole hotel was kept in tip-top shape. The indoor pool was spotless and not cold. Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk and housekeeping to the bar, kitchen, and breakfast crew, was fabulous. My breakfast omelette was delicious, and so was the Bloody Mary I had the night before. I’d recommend this hotel.

The friendly front desk and wait staff, along with how clean the place was, made our stay. But I’m giving it three stars because two big amenities fell short: the restaurant and pool. There wasn’t much variety on the restaurant menu, and several listed choices were unavailable, including beers, soups, and dessert. It gets frustrating having to pick again and again because the item you chose is out. We also enjoy using the pool, but it was out of service.

The rooms are spacious, the staff are welcoming, and there are meeting rooms. It’s a good hotel in a good location, though the auto dealership next door starts playing music at 7:30 in the morning. I hope the hotel can work with them to keep it quieter on weekends.

The one good part of my stay was the staff. Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk to the breakfast team, was courteous, professional, and genuinely accommodating. I expected Hilton properties to offer a consistent standard, especially after some recent stays that went well. This experience has left me discouraged and considering whether to stay with Hilton in the future. I’d appreciate it if you would review what happened and decide what resolution is appropriate.
