The desk clerk was helpful and friendly, and the location was handy for restaurants and shopping. We picked the hotel for its price and location for one night. The room, though, was in poor shape. It was so hot when we arrived that my husband left the door open while the AC ran. The old, dirty carpet needs replacing or removing, and the bed was only okay. It needed more pillows, and the comforters had cigarette burns. Shower pressure was good. There was no breakfast, just coffee and a juice machine that was out of order. We probably wouldn't return unless they fix up the place and add breakfast options.

The price was good, and the location was excellent, with Walmart across the road and lots of restaurants nearby. I stayed in the secondary building and was able to extend my stay in the same room. The room was nonsmoking and the bed was comfortable, but the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed when I arrived. The shower pressure was great, and housekeeping came when I requested it. I booked because breakfast was offered, then found out they weren't serving it due to “Covid.” I wish they had advertised that. Three times the building lock didn't work. They said it happened a lot, and that the other door worked fine, but it was still inconvenient. Decent place to stay.

We've stayed in plenty of motels on the road, and this one wasn't that bad, but check the towels and don't walk around barefoot or pull up the blankets. The carpet needed vacuuming, and there was a dead bug on the bed. The towels were dirty, so we took them to the front desk for replacements. A bald guy who worked there yelled at my husband for bringing them to the office and told him to throw them on the floor. My husband was just trying to help. We'd already felt uneasy booking after reading online reviews. The entrance light was blinking, and I thought, oh no, they can't even replace that.

There were teens hanging around, and I spent the night worrying that someone might steal the load in my truck. I wouldn't stay with this company again. I called Choice Hotels corporate customer service and got nowhere; they didn't seem concerned. They said a refund would have to come from the hotel manager, but I've been trying to reach him for a week and he's never in. We stopped for a cheap night, but the $76 shown on Maps became $88.48. The towels, floors, and sheets were all dirty. They'd started redoing rooms but hadn't finished. I would have demanded a refund and gone elsewhere if my four-year-old hadn't already fallen asleep. The room felt completely unsafe and against health codes. I've stayed in pay-by-the-hour crack motels that were cleaner and in better shape. There was no smoke detector or sprinkler system, just a hole in the ceiling where the detector should've been, with live wires hanging out.

The front desk attendant was really nice, which is why this gets two stars. We paid $80 for Friday night and stayed just one night because we were traveling and needed somewhere near the interstate. In the supposedly nonsmoking building, our room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and the bed's top blanket had several burn holes. The building doors didn't lock, and there was brown stuff in the toilet. We wouldn't recommend staying more than one night.
