The location was great, but there are several other hotels in the area I'd consider instead. The property felt old and dated, the room was only okay, and the receptionist seemed unfriendly and burnt out. The pool area felt disgusting, with cracked floor grates that seemed hazardous. Both the pool water and the room were freezing. They offered the pool across the street, but getting there meant a long walk in cold weather with young kids. There was no hot tub or slide, despite a Google photo showing both. The room fridge wasn't cold, so we had to use our own coolers to keep food chilled. I understand now why this was one of the cheaper options. I don't recommend it.

We came up from Milwaukee for a wedding and, since we thought we were heading to a small town, hadn't expected much. The lobby felt like the entrance to an expensive five-star hotel. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean, with plenty of towels and toiletries. I was also happy to find an old-fashioned digital alarm clock. I love being able to see the time easily.

The people at the check-in counter were phenomenal, and the location made it easy to get wherever I wanted within 19 minutes. The rooms were neat and clean, though they only had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave.

Breakfast at the Amber Grill was much better than the usual hotel breakfast. Sarah kept up conversations with several tables and seemed to truly care about how we were doing. We picked this hotel for the rooms with a hot tub facing the TV, and it was glorious. We'll return.

I really appreciated the breakfast buffet, with a broad selection of fresh, tasty options, and the pool and fitness center were clean and well maintained. The hotel was also conveniently placed for getting to local attractions and dining. My room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with fast Wi-Fi and plenty of workspace. After a long day of travel, it felt like a quiet retreat. Staff were attentive and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and check-in was easy. This hotel seems to care about the guest experience. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Stevens Point and will come back on my next trip. Live your best life!
