Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Stillwater MN

The hot water was barely warm. Even with the tap turned all the way to hot, I ended up taking a cool shower. That sucked, though it wasn't the front desk staff's fault. The young man at the desk was amazing, friendly, and engaging.

There's very little water pressure in the shower, and the room felt small for two queen beds and four people. We picked this hotel mainly for the pool, only to find it closed. This is the second time that's happened to us, so ask if the pool is open when you book. It's a room, anyway.

I had a King Bed Jacuzzi room booked, but there was a strong mildew smell as soon as I walked in, and visible active mold. The front desk said the hotel was full for my wedding weekend, when many relatives and the whole wedding party were staying there too. The manager also said they couldn't move us to another room. With those health and safety concerns, the room wasn't usable, but all they offered was a 15% refund instead of a full one. It shouldn't have been available in that condition. Staff did nothing helpful to resolve it, and the lack of concern or accommodation was extremely disappointing, especially after all the business we brought in during an important weekend.

The room had holes in the bathroom wall, paint coming off the walls and bathtub, a loose bathtub faucet, an unpleasant odor, and a door lock that stuck and didn't work right. Most of the property was filthy despite some updates, with stained carpets, sticky floors, dirty windows and handles, and poor lighting. To make things worse, they charged me over $700, more than double the stated room price. If I'd known the condition, I wouldn't have agreed to pay even $100. We came for a Bachelorette party with a block of rooms, but our guests were spread across different floors and nowhere near each other. The pool and hot tub were both closed, and we hadn't been told before or when booking. I absolutely don't recommend this hotel.
