Princess has been very helpful and informative. I do feel, though, that quite a few of the workers are too snappy. I know dealing with people all day can be exhausting, but many guests may be struggling or in transition while trying to find housing. People should be spoken to with empathy and care, and staff can still make their point while watching their tone. It also seems like they give more violations to people they want gone.

Living Lodge seems to have lost customers because of its fines and room checks. They charge $100 if a room isn’t clean or if you have company, and the checks feel like an invasion of privacy. Giving people a second chance doesn’t mean much if the Lodge keeps handing out fines. Even a five-star place wouldn’t charge $100 and check rooms like that. It feels like they’re imitating Section 8. And if you check out and then check back in, the front desk charges you the room amount to check back in, then charges you for the room too. How does that make sense?

I’ve been here two months, one week, and two days, and I still haven’t seen an exterminator spray for the roach infestation, inside or outside. Yet they want to charge people violation fees. On 12/23/25 at 2:44 pm, I was cleaning my room when someone from the front office came to inspect it. I asked if she could wait or come back, but she said she still had to do the inspection. She wrote me up for a violation. I called the front desk to ask why someone cleaning a hotel room would still get cited, and was told it’s based on what they see during the inspection and that it’s policy. That’s crazy to me. I’d advise against moving in, though if you have no other option, okay. I’m about to call the health department and whoever else to get the hotel looked at and fined for violations.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They charged me an extra $285 because I had a visitor, even though I told them that person didn’t stay in my room. They said they’d seen the individual visiting before, so they still insisted I pay. They also walk into rooms without consent, and there’s no privacy here. Someone came in while I was naked and stood in front of the door, refusing to leave until I left my room on checkout day, after I’d overslept. This is a terrible place to stay. If you’re looking for a room and see it, keep driving. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

The room was clean, but we felt very unsafe because of the other guests. People smoked weed, drank, and played loud music in the parking area at all hours. The neighborhood also felt very sketchy.
