Nite Inn Studio City

The morning refreshments were wonderful, with lots of choices, and free parking was a big plus. It’s also really convenient to walk to the free shuttle. Everything was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Sayid at the front desk was especially helpful and welcoming. A perfect spot for UHS visits, and I’ll definitely stay again.

For a tight budget, I can see using this place, though I wouldn’t steer someone either toward or away from it. It’s close enough to walk to a shuttle for Universal or make the whole trip on foot, and the prices were reasonable. They had water and a few other refreshments, plus decent pastries in the morning. Our one queen room wasn’t great. The walls let through a lot of sound, parking was okay but quite limited, and the floor was entirely tile, which some people may like and others won’t. There may also be a $200 extra charge for smaller problems, apparently including blood or makeup on pillows. At the same price and distance from Universal, you can probably find better options.

This is a basic place for people who mainly need a clean spot to sleep and shower. If you’re used to 3-star-plus comfort, keep your expectations realistic. We stayed a few days in December. It has functional wifi, a private bathroom, a TV, and basic housekeeping. The front desk setup is interesting, and I can’t say whether it’s staffed around the clock, especially with the door unlocked only limited hours. They do have pastries and coffee in the morning, so that settles the question of whether the refreshments count as breakfast. The coffee machine for guests is fancy and makes good coffee. The room itself isn’t soundproof: we clearly heard highway sirens and LA honking. The upstairs neighbors were also “very active,” with constant bed movement late at night. It sounded like they were running marathons while dragging a wooden table and chair across the floor, lol. And before the business comments on my review, my name isn’t the same as the name on my booking lol.

I’ve stayed at Nite Inn twice now. The rooms are simple and straightforward, and the staff have always been friendly. The location is hard to beat: it’s a quick walk to a shuttle that goes up to Universal Studios Hollywood. The lot is small, and they recommend compact or smaller cars, but they make that clear before you book. Good experience overall, and I’d stay again on another Universal Studios visit.
