Days Inn Sturgis

We had to book at the last minute because of a blizzard nearby, and were grateful they had a room. Everyone was nice, and the room and breakfast area were generally very clean. The beds were so hard, though, that we all barely slept. I can't tell if the mattress is new or just extra firm, but it felt like sleeping on the floor. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel with the essentials close by, including a good gas station, some fast food places, and a Dollar General. I'd recommend it, but be wary of those firm beds.

I've stayed here on my latest trips to Sturgis, in a different room each time. It's always clean and quiet enough to rest, and the updates they've made are amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the price is very reasonable. I recommend stopping and staying awhile.

I'm usually nervous about two-star hotels because, respectfully, they're not always the nicest. My husband booked this one late at night, and I was tired and ready to go straight to bed, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The room was clean, the staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was simple, which was what I expected. The breakfast area was neat and well maintained, and I would stay here again. Update: I didn't have service where we were staying. I was happy with our stay at first and had left a positive review, but later that afternoon I started itching intensely. After we stopped, I checked my arms and hands, which had been covered by long sleeves, and saw several bite marks. I contacted the hotel and told the front office attendant what had happened.

The location is great, and I'd stay here again. The front desk was kind and helpful, and the room was clean. Breakfast was basic but good. The mattress was firm even for my taste. There are two blinds, one of them blackout, which is handy to know.
