Quality Inn & Suites Sun Prairie Madison East

Avi at the front desk was kind and very helpful. Breakfast had a decent range, including eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, and cereal, though the machine coffee tasted like instant and wasn’t good. Our room was clean, quiet, and had no odd smell, and the bed was comfortable. Two lights didn’t work. There’s a small pool, and the exercise room is tiny, with one treadmill and one multi-use weight machine. We had a good stay overall.

I was here for work for three nights, and the hotel wasn’t busy, but they made a later checkout seem like a big problem. I’m from out of town and only wanted extra time indoors instead of waiting outside in the cold for my departure. I won’t come back.

The parking lot wasn’t plowed until very late during heavy winter snow, so you can get stuck if you need to leave. There were also strong weed smells coming into the room and loud music. I won’t stay here again.

The rooms could use a deep clean, though the pool area looked clean. They had plenty of soap and lotion, plus free makeup-remover wipes. My room, 206, stayed surprisingly quiet beside the stairs even with some hallway noise, and the heat barely needed to run because it was well insulated. There were lots of cameras, and I felt secure both nights. The staff at Quality Inn Sun Prairie were welcoming from check-in through checkout. They smiled warmly and even held the door while I brought in my luggage. For the least expensive option in Sun Prairie, I was impressed and had a pleasant stay. No whirlpool or hot tub, though.
