Anton 1101

I’ve been at Anton for two and a half months, and it’s been a very disappointing experience. The garage doors, pool heating, and elevator buttons are among the things that don’t work properly, and there’s no clear repair timeline. Management is also hard to reach. Calls and emails often go unanswered, even about serious matters. I reported an AC leak in my apartment over two months ago and followed up several times, but nothing has been done and the leasing office hasn’t communicated with me. A leak could damage property and affect health, so this lack of response is unacceptable. Residents deserve timely help and a safe, functional home, which hasn’t been my experience. I wouldn’t recommend living here.

I’ve lived here for more than three years, and I’ve really enjoyed my time overall. The building is fairly new, has elevators, and the bedrooms have large walk-in closets. Management has improved since Ismael took over as leasing manager. He’s kind, responsive, and respectful of residents. When a serious building water leak affected my roommate and me last year, we were satisfied with how he handled it. Juan from maintenance is also very friendly and quick to respond. There are downsides: the floorboards are thin, things occasionally break, and units facing North Fair Oaks Ave can be noisy. I’d rate the building 3.5 stars, the location 5, and the management team 5. I do have to take a star away from management, though. A month after I moved out, my deposit still hadn’t been returned. When I called, they said it had gone toward carpet cleaning, but provided neither photos nor a detailed breakdown. It wasn’t a lot of money, just disappointing since I liked the management team.

After three years here, it’s been a peaceful place to live. The management and staff are pleasant and helpful, there are good amenities, and visitors have plenty of parking. You’re close to Highway 101 without getting its noise. Sound isolation seems fine in most units, though, as with any apartment, an upstairs neighbor can make or break the quiet.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for two years and would recommend it. The community is peaceful, and the residents are welcoming and cordial. It’s also convenient, about a two-minute drive from the highway. There’s ample parking, including for visitors, which is a real advantage in the Bay Area. My friends can always find a spot easily. Ismael in management stands out: he’s professional, cares about the residents, and responds to questions and requests.
