Signature Inn - Superior / Duluth

The main disappointment was breakfast. It runs from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but when I arrived at 9:10 AM, the sausages, eggs, and most of the other hot food were already gone. I waited until 9:45 AM, hoping someone would refill the trays or check the buffet, but neither happened. The service seemed to taper off with almost an hour still left. Apart from that, the Quality Inn Superior/Duluth was a solid stay. The location worked well for visiting Superior and Duluth, and my room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Check-in went smoothly, and I thought the price was fair for the room and convenient area. I hope management makes sure food is still available later in the morning.

Jessica made check-in pleasant and professional, and her early check-in help was much appreciated. She really reflects the hotel’s friendly atmosphere. The room was clean, the breakfast delicious, and the pool area a lot of fun. I’ll definitely come back.

The convenient location was about the only good thing about this hotel. We came with a group for work over the weekend, and staff charged people in my group more than once for one room, along with other random charges. They wouldn’t try to fix it or explain where the charges came from. One coworker’s room smelled so bad they left for an Airbnb. The night desk worker couldn’t tell me room prices and was on FaceTime and playing Xbox while talking to me. After I asked twice to change the card, he charged the room to the wrong one. He told us we could extend checkout to 12, but at 11, while we were packing, the manager tried to barge into our room and yelled at us to leave. When we explained the misunderstanding, she called us liars. We could hear staff talking about us in the lobby. The pool closes at 12, yet staff hovered over us if we used the pool or hot tub after 11. We got out 10 minutes early so we could dry off and leave the pool room before 12. The staff were unbelievably unprofessional. I hope I never have to return, unless they fix these problems.

For the price, I was very pleased. The hot tub was properly hot, the TV was big, and the beds were really comfortable.
