Rodeway Inn Swainsboro

It may be a 2 star hotel, but the staff are 5 star. They helped me out when I was in a pickle, and I really appreciated it. The room was clean and the water was hot, exactly what this tired driver needed. Thanks so much, guys!

Everything was fine, clean, and good. The hotel is run by a great family who stayed by the people during the night before last, when the hurricane came through Georgia. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you all and wishing you the best.

I appreciated having a clean, comfortable room and a good check-in. I stayed in room 104, which has been remodeled, and it was done pretty decently. I didn’t see any bugs or have any problems, and you can pull right up to your room. I’ve attached photos in case they help with your decision. For what you get, this was the best value among the options, though I still think it was overpriced. It’s an old motel, and there’s no breakfast, not even coffee and a Danish, which I feel should come with the price. I paid about $70 with tax, while I think it’s worth around $50. The Days Inn next door and Best Western cost about $30 more, and I don’t think any of them are worth $100. If I’m in the area again, I’m not sure I’d return. I might try the Best Western next time since it’s about the same price as Days Inn.

The room was clean and looked recently renovated, with new TVs, and the parking lot had been newly blacktopped. There’s no outlet near the desk, though, so I had to plug my laptop into the bathroom outlet, and it barely reached. I also got bitten by a spider overnight, though I suppose that could happen anywhere. For the price, it’s good value, but the location and noise from other motel guests are the main problems. You hear a lot from outside, and the place is at an intersection where people seem to race or do burnouts. Other guests were very loud, especially outside the rooms late at night. Most of those problems are human behavior and not really the motel’s fault.
